In the past year, Blue's interest for dinosaurs have been overshadowed by other 7-year old stuff. When he learned about Dinos Alive, however, he was completely thrilled. (I'm glad to know he's still a true-blue dinosaur fan.)
We made our trip to Dinos Alive on the last weekend of the tour. The ticket prizes have been slashed down to P400, plus we got an additional 10% off using our SM Advantage card. Alvin, Blue and I got in for P360 each. With our post-holiday near-empty pockets, we felt the prize was still a little steep, but not bad.
Blue was evidently elated upon entering the dark exhibit area. He trotted a little bit ahead of us but retreated and said "I'm scared!" with a laugh. He quickly got over his fear, though. His outbursts changed into Whoas and Oh-my-goshes.
Blue was hoping to see a Pachy-cephalosaurus or an Ankylosaurus. He first saw the head-banger, and shouted "Mom, a Pachy!" I can't forget the grin on his face when he saw the other one. It was frozen in mid-charge towards the first. I bet he was imagining the impact as their skulls collide. He whispered, "kaboom!" And I said to myself, "sulit na!"

"OH MY GOSH, ANKYLO!" he shouted. He positioned himself near the tail and allowed it to brush him on the head. "Hahaha! Mom, it hit me with its tail!"
On the downside, though, the robotics was a little bit disappointing. Most dinosaurs showed very little movement. Metal tracks were visible. Some dinosurs even had speakers and gears instead of bodies. Worse, the signs that say "do not touch" were just way too big. They simply ruined the whole Jurassic experience!
Outside the exhibit, there was a giant dancing dinosaur, a movie theater which showed a short dinosaur feature, and lots of cool activities for kids. Alvin loved the lounge area where they showed Spiderman and Transformers. Blue also enjoyed the Triceratops Train ride and the Fossil Dig. We wasted almost an hour queueing for the simulation ride. The feature was so lame, but we had fun taking photos inside. We were so hungry after that. Good thing the food court had lots of yummy treats.
While there isn't much more to rave about, it was great for family bonding. Just before getting into the car, Blue said, "Mom, Dinos Alive was nice!" If only for that Dinos Alive was a roaring experience indeed!
