Our car locks are working perfectly again. They've been out of synch for the past month. Sometimes you would get locked in and you have to literally fight the locks to get out of the car. Man, I grew little calluses on my fingers for having to do that! But now, as if by magic, they’re like soldiers following the cadence. I almost heard my fingers singing in relief..…Haaaaalleluiah!

Come to think of it, little things like this prove the existence of a higher being – someone who keeps the order of the universe. It’s Holy Week after all – the perfect time to contemplate God.

In some ways, we’re just like car locks that lose their focus…in other words, pasaway! When we do get side-tracked, the balance of things gets significantly disturbed. We end up causing pain and misery to others (like the calluses.) Then we realize that the worst damage is inflicted on no one else but ourselves. At which point we begin asking…why?...why me?...why this?...why now? Sometimes it just gets too unbearable, but we have to keep on fighting. We simply have to trust. Then, suddenly….magic! In God’s own way, in His own time, and in accordance with His perfect plan we’re back on track again. Galing talaga ni God!
